Developed by Techninier and as Celcom moves into new frontiers towards embracing digitalisation, World War III is a flashback to the retro plane shooting video arcade genre. This fast-paced mobile game saw scores of gamers compete for the top prizes through their Android smartphones using Celcom's seamless and lightning speed 4G network.
World War III is a revival of the popular 8-bit arcade plane shooting genre, where gamers have to dodge and weave their way through scrolling battle zones filled with enemy bomber planes, bullets and more airborne mayhem than they bargained for. Each increasingly challenging level features an initial period of fighting against small fighter planes and bombers before finally coming up against a 'Boss' plane at the end, all while trying to accumulate the highest score possible. In this revamp of the old arcade genre, World War III features a selection of 3 fighter jets of different trade-offs between endurance and agility. Also noteworthy is the Matrix-like gameplay feature, enabling gamers to quite literally, dodge bullets. "With the rising number of gamers subscribed on Celcom's seamless network, there is no mistaking that gaming interest in potential prize-winning tournament styled games like World War III is about to make a big debut over here," said Techninier's CEO Dato' Lion Peh.
He also added "This is just the beginning of tournament-styled mobile games for Techninier. We are pleased to bring immersive mobile gaming action to our audiences nationwide, a starting opportunity for gamers to turn game time into REAL time bounties. Our near-future plans involve a permanent mobile gaming platform that allows gamers to generate actual money through mobile gaming." Masdiana Sulaiman, Head of Brand Management - OTT of Celcom Axiata Berhad said Celcom's seamless network garnered the attention and interest of many youth today who love to play mobile-games continuously. "This is demonstrated as we award the top 10 Celcom users who participated in Techninier's android game tournament, 'World War III' using Celcom's network," she said.
"As we always place our customers' experience first, we look forward fascinating partnerships that would enable our customers to enjoy and play games to their heart's content on our widest and strongest network. Who knows what bigger prizes and exciting game tournaments are in store for Celcom customers in the near future?" she said.

Be sure to be on the lookout because Celcom will always continue to enhance its customers' experiences by providing various exciting content for them to enjoy on our strongest and widest network," she added.
